Osuuskauppa Keskimaa cooperative has joined private equity fund Midinvest as an investor and a partner, and its investments are directed at business activity and business life in Central Finland.
Osuuskauppa Keskimaa cooperative has taken part in Midinvest Ltd’s share issue with an investment of 2.5 million euros. Participating in the share issue supports Keskimaa’s strategy that strongly involves supporting the vitality of its own area of operation.

“With the ongoing share issue of the Midinvest Ltd fund our goal is to increase private equity investments directed at our area of operation. As the capital of the fund increases, we can invest in more portfolio companies and participate in larger investment rounds than before, and of course we can also make additional investments in existing portfolio companies”, says Jukka-Pekka Nikula, Managing Director and partner of Midinvest Management Ltd.

Midinvest Ltd is a private equity fund managed by Midinvest Management Ltd. The fund was established in 1994 and it has during its history invested 20 million euros in more than 70 early and subsequent development phase companies in Central Finland. The fund’s investors include mainly institutions, public organisations and private investors in Central Finland.
